WealthRise® In Community Overview of Programs

WealthRise® In Community programming is an exciting outcome of our research that mapped the geographic spread of financial trauma in Saint Paul. Informed by data from the Traumagraph™ and the lived experiences of Saint Paul residents, this program provides financial education through a trauma-informed, justice-oriented lens that our community partners can use.

WealthRise® In Community Partners join a collaborative cohort of organizations dedicated to solving for systemic financial issues in our community. Throughout this partnership, community partners will do at least one of the following:

1. Deliver collaboratively developed, or “co-created,” instruction to community members, in conjunction with receiving facilitator training and support

2. Provide a mechanism for delivery of trauma-informed resources to community members

3. Co-facilitate workshops developed by our team to community members, in conjunction with receiving facilitator training and support

BlackFem Responsibilities:  BlackFem will build everything related to the curriculum -e.g., PowerPoints, materials for target beneficiaries, scripts for facilitators to use when presenting the content.

Co-Creation Definition:
"Co-creation" is a process where our partners provide valuable feedback, enabling us to customize the curriculum to meet the specific needs, accessibility requirements, and cultural fluency of the intended audience.

Co-Facilitation Definition: “Co-facilitation,” is a process in which we work collaboratively to coordinate and co-host events for your target community, ensuring the effective delivery of the WealthRise® curriculum.

What To Expect

Each program has a unique and customized corresponding curriculum, training program, and monitoring and evaluation schema. For your respective program, you will be able to access each of these things for your review, collaboration, and eventual use as they become available. Please note: given our licensing agreement, any and all curriculum will only be accessible on this platform and not available for download at this time. When it comes time to print the materials, the BlackFem team will provide the resources necessary to do so.

Here are the descriptions of the items you will see:

Curriculum map: An overview of learning targets, content overview, and research-backing for curriculum.

Extended outline: A descriptive breakdown of each lesson/module/unit including specific activities, materials, and additional research backing for curriculum.

Timeline: A phase-specific timeline will detail when you can expect deliverables and when to participate in our live feedback sessions. Where applicable, sub-phases may also be detailed in the timeline.

Facilitator guide: A facilitation guide including a script for facilitators and accompanying actions to be provided to those delivering content.

Messaging toolkit: A comprehensive document outlining key messaging to help facilitators talk about the curriculum, its purpose and impact on learners, the community and society, and the core principles of wealth justice in settings outside the classroom and to different audiences. It will serve as a foundational guide to promote consistent communications.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) schema: A detailed description of what metrics we will use to track our impact and how we will track it. When applicable, it will also include the relevant tools we will ask you to use for impact measurement.
